  36. door neighbor. Apparently the guy beat

  39. too. He doesnt mean a backup, does he?
  40. They already have two cruisers out.
  41. Hmm... Maybe he means a tow truck. The
  42. registration is apparently invalid.
  43. Yupper, I guess it's a tow truck.

  45. car hit a picketer at Electric Boat.
  46. Hmmm.  Apparently the guy wasnt hurt.

  48. knocked over his sign; that's about
  49. it.  Officer's talkin about bringin

  51. them to jail. They told 4 kids to beat
  52. it, and called for a towtruck.
  53.   "How're we s'posed to get to New
  54. London?"
  55.   "Not our responsibility," says the
  56. officer.
  57.   "Fuck." They leave up the hill.
  58.   The backup left, but now another
  59. cruiser shows up. Maybe they DID mean
  60. reinforcements instead of a towtruck.
  61. At any rate, I'm just ramblin. This
  62. seems like it'll make good copy. If I
  63. hear any more on the scanner, or out my
  64. window, I'll holler.

  91. supension.
  92.   That's what the letter that
  93. Department of Motor Vehicles sent me
  94. said. At the
  95. end of the letter there was a number
  96. to call if I needed any info. Well, I
  97. called the number and got a recording
  98. that said the number was disconected. I
  99. called the local DMV to get better
  100. info-- they told me to call the same
  101. disconnected number as was on the
  102. letter.
  103.   Well after the run around, I decided
  104. to go to Whethersfield (about 1 1/2
  105. hour drive) for info.
  106.   Once at Whethersfield, I went to the
  107. info desk to ask some questions.  The
  108. lady there said that she could not
  109. give me that info because I didn't
  110. need to know it.
  111.   I asked another lady there the same
  112. question and she said that she didn't
  113. know and that i should call the info
  114. number and guess what???
  115.   You got it-- it was the same one as
  116. on the letter. So back to square 1.
  117.   I am planing to run for the job of
  118. commissioner of moter vehicles.  I've
  119. had
  120. so many tickets that i can answer any
  121. questions someone might have and I
  122. won't
  123. have to shrug my shoulders and say
  124. call the number on the letter.
  125.   Oh, and the question i asked at DMV
  126. in weathersfield???
  127.   "Who do i talk to about getting my
  128. licence back?"

  152. Well, here's the situation:

  154.      My uncle has 3 children (all born
  155. in the United States) and a wife (born
  156. in the same southern Asian country
  157. that he was born in).  He came here to
  158. study
  159. and study he did.  He finally lands a
  160. half-way decent job in his field of
  161. study.  Having headed from home some
  162. 10,000 miles away he flies back,
  163. leaving
  164. his wife and children behind here.  He
  165. resolves the family problems there and
  166. decided to fly back to the United
  167. States.
  168.  
  169.            STOP.

  171.      The US government embassy tells
  172. him that he can not fly back until they
  173. validate his VISA.  He shows them his
  174. VALID VISA and for further support
  175. tells
  176. them that his three children are US
  177. citizens.  The embassy says it will
  178. take a
  179. few weeks to a month for them to
  180. validate his VISA and his children.
  181.   In the mean time he loses his new
  182. job because of his forced stay.  They
  183. later
  184. validate his VISA and children and
  185. allow his passage to the United States.
  186.  
  187. COMMENTARY:
  188.      Essentially the government did
  189. not believe his VISA as being a valid
  190. VISA.  This does not enrage me as much
  191. as not believing that his children are
  192. indeed his.  From what my grandfather
  193. said:  he, my uncle, did absolutely
  194. nothing to provoke this action...he
  195. was calm and peaceful.  When he
  196. contacted
  197. his employer there was nothing he
  198. could do.  I am not trying to condemn
  199. the
  200. U.S. in this respect, but I am simply
  201. trying to say that this certain type of
  202. red tape we can all do without.
  203.  
  204.   (PRIME NOTE: Wow, Minuteman. That's
  205. a drag. And for you, that one really
  206. hits
  207. home, know? Hmm. I did a little lookin
  208. into this, and only found this:

  368. "Better have eyes in the back of your

  382. playing headgames again, he can. But he

  438. We have met him at Norwich State
  439. Hospital. Complete with long hair, full
  440. Michalangelo facial features, and
  441. everything; this guy looks identical
  442. to the
  443. catholic church icons across the world
  444. throughout history. When we asked him
  445. if
  446. he was Jesus Chist, he was quoted as
  447. saying, "Oh me oh my".  And he smiled.
  448.   We will be touring the states with
  449. him making him available to anyone
  450. who has seen 2 miracles and is holding
  451. on for their 3rd miracle
  452. allowing them sainthood. There will be
  453. a nominal fee to defray the cost
  454. of pulling this off.
  455.   We plan on making this a fullfledged
  456. accepted religion, and will gladly take
  457. donations so we can set up pews, and
  458. get ahold of some offering plates, and

  507. our local newspaper and are appalled
  508. that
  509. there might be more than a handful of
  510. people out in this world that feel that
  511. way:
  512.    In response to the gentleman who
  513. wrote saying joggers should be

  515. couldn't agree more, but he didnt go
  516. far enough. In addition, a special
  517. state
  518. department bureaucracy should be
  519. funded to register and licence
  520. children who
  521. use the roads to go to the candy store
  522. and library and for other useless
  523. pursuits.
